| Obverse description | Black and gold bicolour note with the town name in gothic script across the upper banner: 'Bergstadt Lautenthal i. Harz.' The central vignette presents a large stylised '50 Pf' numeral set within a bold white triangle against a radiating sunburst underprint, flanked on either side by arched niches each containing a standing figure of a miner in period dress. A circular town arms medallion appears at the foot of the triangle, with the redemption text and issuance date inscribed below in two lines, countersigned by the Magistrat. |
