正面描述 Printed on salmon-red paper in dark brown letterpress ink, the obverse is dominated by an Art Nouveau-style female head vignette at centre top, flanked by decorative laurel festoons extending across the upper register within a multi-rule border. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' is inscribed in Fraktur script to either side of the central vignette, with the issuer legend 'Notgeld d. Stadt Rheinsberg' in large Fraktur lettering across the middle field. Below, the municipal coat of arms of Rheinsberg — an eagle displayed within a cartouche inscribed 'CIVIT RHEINSBERG' — is centred above the serial number, with validity and redemption clauses flanking the arms and the authorising signature of 'Der Magistrat' to the right; the printer's imprint 'Görlitzer Nachrichten und Anzeiger' appears along the lower margin.

备注

Rheinsberg notgeld carries more cultural weight than most small-town emergency issues. The city is inseparable from Frederick the Great, who spent his formative years there before ascending the Prussian throne — a fact local authorities were not shy about exploiting when designing their scrip during the postwar inflation crisis.

The printer, Görlitzer Nachrichten und Anzeiger, was a regional newspaper press in Görlitz that took on considerable notgeld work during 1920–1921, when municipalities across Germany scrambled for any available press capacity. Designer credit to Robert Koch is noted in the DeNG reference, though he remains a minor figure with no substantial independent documentation.
