| 表面の説明 | The upper portion of the obverse carries a richly decorated cartouche rendered in multicolour letterpress, surrounded by an elaborate foliate and acanthus-scroll border in orange, green, and grey tones. Within the cartouche, a crowned cursive monogram 'F' appears above the commemorative dates '1747' and '1922', flanked by ornamental scroll-work. Below the vignette, large stylised numerals '50 Pfennig 50' in bold rainbow-coloured type span the width of the note, with the redemption text, issuance date of 1 December 1921, serial number, and the manuscript signature of the Gemeindevorsteher (municipal head) 'Roloff' printed in the lower panel. |

Fürstenberg an der Weser is a small Lower Saxon town better known today for the Fürstenberg porcelain manufactory than for its municipal finances. This note is Notgeld — emergency scrip issued by local authorities during the hyperinflationary spiral of the early Weimar years, when the Reichsbank simply could not supply enough small-denomination coinage and currency to keep local commerce moving. Thousands of German municipalities, utilities, and private firms issued their own paper in this period; the Gemeindekasse was the town's municipal treasury.
K.A. Held's design credit is relatively uncommon to find named on Notgeld of this size and denomination — most municipal issues were produced anonymously or attributed only to the printer.
