Beschrijving voorzijde Tan-ground Notgeld note with a bold red interlaced Fraktur monogram dominating the central field, set within an elaborate blue and red Celtic-knotwork border. A scroll banner at the upper centre carries the denomination inscription in Fraktur lettering, flanked by the numeral 50 at each corner. The lower left contains the municipal coat of arms of Preetz within a cartouche, while a text block at lower right gives the redemption terms, place, and date — signed by the Magistrat with two manuscript signatures; the designer's initials A.G. appear at lower right of the central vignette.

Opmerkingen

Preetz is a small town in Schleswig-Holstein, and this 50 Pfennig note is a product of the Notgeld wave that swept German municipalities between 1920 and 1922 — a period when coin shortages were severe enough that hundreds of towns printed their own emergency small-change paper. The Stadt Preetz series was designed locally by A. Götting, which was not unusual; many Notgeld issues were drawn by local artists, schoolteachers, or commercial illustrators rather than professional engravers, giving the series a distinctly regional character that national currency never had.

The reference number places this within the sixth variant of the 1071.3 series, suggesting the town issued multiple runs.
