| Obverse description | Notgeld issue printed on a turquoise ground with a pink border. The central vignette presents the heraldic shield of Marktschorgast — a stylised pink flower on a yellow field — set within an ornate black cartouche with Art Nouveau scrollwork. Flanking the central device are two large black roundels bearing the denomination numeral '50' in yellow, with 'Pfennige' inscribed below each; the serial number appears in a yellow panel at the foot, above the expiry date, and two manuscript signatures — that of the 1. Bürgermeister (Johann) at left and the Kassier (Heidenreich) at right — authenticate the note. |
