Reverse description Multicolour vignette occupying the upper two-thirds of the note, rendered in a woodcut-style illustration of two historic Visselhövede church buildings — a timber-framed bell tower at left and a Romanesque stone chapel at right — set among trees against a blue-green sky. Below the vignette, a caption identifies the structure, followed by a lower text panel enclosing the denomination numerals '50' at each side and a four-line Low German verse attributed to Heini Carstens. The printer's imprint appears at the foot of the note.
Reverse lettering Kirche aus dem 11. Jahrhundert.
Is ok de Tied upstunds noch Nimm-
Wes' du man flietig as de Imm;
Un as de Heidjer achtern Plog-
Denn kamt wie sachte wedder hoch
Heini Carstens.
