| Descripción del anverso | The obverse is set against a light ground and organised symmetrically around the bold Gothic inscription 'Stadt Notgeld von Döbeln', with the denomination '50 Pfg.' repeated in the upper corners. Two armoured knights in full plate stand as lateral guardians, each flanking a large oval vignette — the left presenting the Neues Rathaus and the right the Nicolai-Kirche, both rendered in a fine illustrative style. The city's heraldic shield, bearing three towers, occupies the central axis below the ovals, accompanied by the issuance date 'Döbeln, 1. Sept. 1921', the validity clause 'Gültig bis 30. September 1921', and the facsimile signature of the Stadtrat. |
