备注	Münchenbernsdorf is a small Thuringian town, and this 50 Pfennig Notgeld note is one of four values in the 0911.1-4 series issued by the municipality in 1921 — the peak year for German local emergency currency, when coin shortages and postwar economic instability pushed thousands of German communities into self-issued scrip. The printer, H. Matthes, was a local firm operating within the town itself, which was not unusual for small Thuringian communities that had ready access to modest commercial print shops. Being locally printed rather than contracted to a specialist Notgeld printer like Giesecke & Devrient keeps production quality variable across the series.
