正面描述	Blue-grey ground with the city arms of Meiningen (a red shield bearing a white castle with towers) at left, flanked by bold Fraktur lettering 'Fünfzig Pfennig' across the top. Text block at right states the note's acceptance by the Stadtkämmerei and Stadtsparkasse, with date 'Meiningen, 11. Juni 1921' and a magistrate signature. Red serial number at lower left; circular vignette of a city gate at lower right.

背面描述	Two coloured vignettes illustrate scenes from Rudolf Baumbach's poem 'Das Lied vom Hütes': at left, a waitress and a gentleman in period dress; at right, a waitress carrying steaming dumplings before a dining scene. Verses from the poem appear beneath each vignette in Fraktur script, with the denomination '50 Pf.' centred above. The bold footer reads 'Notgeld der Stadt Meiningen' in Gothic lettering.
