| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by the colourful municipal coat of arms of Langensalza at centre, showing a red shield with three white towers and flanking heraldic shields in gold and black, suspended from a decorative ribbon. The town name "Langensalza" is set in bold blackletter script across the top, with the denomination numeral "50" printed in gold at both lower corners, each accompanied by the word "Pfennig" in smaller blackletter type. To the lower left, a redemption notice is rendered in period script, while the lower right carries the issuing authority designation and a facsimile signature of the Brandmeister (fire brigade commander) Rob. Beltz. |
