Beschrijving voorzijde The note is framed by a decorative border in warm brown tones, with the left half occupied by a vignette of an elderly mariner at the ship's helm, dressed in a blue hooded garment, sailing vessels visible in the harbour behind him; the wheel itself bears the numeral '50' in blue. To the right, the municipal arms of Swinemünde — a red griffin with anchor on a blue shield — are positioned centrally, with Gothic script text above and below identifying the issuing savings bank and denomination. A serial number appears in black at the lower left, a facsimile signature at the lower right, and the printer's imprint is set along the bottom margin.

Beschrijving keerzijde The upper three-quarters of the reverse are occupied by a full-colour harbour vignette of a steamship named 'Swinemünde' entering port amid sailing vessels, smoke rising from its funnel against a townscape background. The lower register is divided into three panels: the left and right panels each bear the denomination numeral '50' in blue alongside a small anchor vignette, while the central white panel contains an eight-line German maritime poem in Gothic script, numbered '2'.
