正面描述 Orange and dark blue letterpress design on a light guilloche underprint. A large orange sunburst radiates from a central circular vignette bearing the bold numeral '50' above the denomination 'PFENNIG'; to the upper left, the municipal coat of arms of Ennigerloh appears in dark blue, while to the upper right a heraldic griffin-like creature is printed in dark blue. The issuing authority legend 'NOTGELD DER GEMEINDE ENNIGERLOH' runs across the top, with a handwritten validity clause, date '1.6.1921', facsimile signatures, and the printer's imprint 'W. GIRARDET ESSEN' along the lower margin; a serial number appears to the right.

背面描述 Colourful satirical vignette printed in blue, red, orange, and green on a plain ground with a yellow-green ruled border. To the left, a line-drawn building labelled 'FINANZAMT' (tax office) anchors the scene, while four caricatured figures in period costume march in procession toward it, bent under the weight of their tax burdens — an allusion to the hardships of postwar fiscal obligation. The bold blue numeral '50' occupies the upper right corner, and a three-line handwritten-style motto in German script runs across the upper portion of the note.

备注

Ennigerloh is a small municipality in Westphalia, and like hundreds of similarly sized German towns in 1921, it issued Notgeld to address the acute small-denomination coin shortage that followed the First World War. W. Girardet was a well-established Essen printing house better known for newspaper production — its involvement in the Notgeld boom was commercially opportunistic, and it handled a considerable volume of municipal emergency issues from the Ruhr and Westphalian regions during this period.

Collectors should note that Ennigerloh issues from this run were produced in small quantities and distributed locally; most circulated hard and fast before redemption.
