| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into three vertical panels within a dotted outer border. The left panel carries the text inscription in Gothic blackletter script, including the issuing authority, denomination, and date. The central panel contains a large circular vignette in a scrollwork and interlace frame, enclosing a stylised grotesque mask or wild man figure with foliate ornament and a globe or orb, with the denomination numeral '50' repeated at each corner of the central field. The right panel bears the validity notice in Gothic script, stating the note loses validity one month after public announcement. |
