| Obverse description | Blue-violet notgeld on a fine guilloche underprint ground, with the denomination numeral 50 in large Gothic-style figures at left and right flanking a central geometric vignette. The title Gutschein über Pfennig is set in Fraktur letterpress at the top, with a serial number block in the centre. A circular blue official seal of the city of Recklinghausen appears at lower left, accompanied by the issue date and a three-line legal redemption clause in Gothic script; the issuing authority line Der Magistrat appears at centre-right above a cursive signature with the title Oberbürgermeister. |
