To the right, a detailed topographic vignette presents the Artern market square with the church tower and Rathaus, captioned 'Artern · Markt mit Rathaus'. The denomination '50' appears in large Gothic numerals at the top centre above the inscription 'PFENNIG', with the lower portion carrying the issuing text in Fraktur script dated 1. Juli 1920, countersigned by the Magistrat with the signature 'Hühnerbein'.
