| Obverse description | Dark brown on tan guilloche underprint. The central text panel, enclosed within an ornate cartouche of scrolling acanthus foliage with zigzag borders, carries the denomination in Gothic Fraktur script reading 'Fünfzig Pfennige', followed by the issuing authority text and validity clause. The date 'Aschersleben, den 5. März 1920' appears above two manuscript signatures beneath the legend 'DER MAGISTRAT', flanked at lower right by a circular municipal seal; the denomination numeral '50' appears in each upper corner with 'Pf' at lower left and right. A note at the foot states this third series was issued in five colours. |
