Obverse description	The upper register bears the Gothic blackletter legend 'Stadt Goslar am Harz' within a ruled border. The central vignette presents the municipal coat of arms of Goslar — a red shield charged with a black eagle beneath a mural crown — flanked by two heraldic wild men (Wilde Männer) set against a dark background with stylised conifer trees at either side. The lower panel carries the denomination numerals '50' in red at left and right, with the validity text and issuing authority signature in script between them.
Obverse lettering	Stadt Goslar am Harz Dieser Gutschein ist gültig bis 1. Juni 1923 und wird von unserer Kämmereikasse eingelöst. Goslar/im Juni 1920. der Magistrat Kluge.
Reverse description	The reverse is divided into three vertical panels on a warm ochre ground. The left panel contains a circular medallion reproducing a historical Goslar Pfennig Scheidemünz of 1741, with the Virgin and Child motif and the legend 'MATER DEI DOMINUS GOSLAR', above the inscription 'PFENNING SCHEIDE MÜNZ 1741', all within a decorative foliate border and the text 'Im Mittelalter münzten wir' below. The central panel presents a detailed vignette of a steep-roofed medieval half-timbered building framed by ornamental columns beneath a draped canopy. The right panel carries a figure of the 'Dukatenmann' (a folkloric character) with the motto 'Dukatenmann, sorg heut dafür!' below, the denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' in Gothic script appears at upper left and upper right.
