| 备注 |
Steinfeld was a small parish in Schleswig, and like thousands of German municipalities in 1920 it issued Notgeld to compensate for the chronic shortage of small coin following the war. What makes this particular issue worth noting is the print run: 12,175,000 pieces is extraordinarily high for a village-level authority in Kreis Schleswig, suggesting either a printing error in surviving records, a regional distribution arrangement beyond the immediate municipality, or — less likely but possible — deliberate overproduction for the collector trade that was already consuming Notgeld faster than it circulated.
By 1920 the collector Notgeld phenomenon was well underway, with many issuing bodies printing far beyond local need and selling directly to dealers in Berlin and Hamburg.
