| Obverse description | Richly multicolour Art Nouveau Notgeld vignette centred on the arms of Naumburg — a crossed key and sword in red on a guilloche oval cartouche — flanked by hexagonal denomination panels bearing '50' against a background of cherry branches laden with red fruit, alluding to the city's celebrated Kirschfest. The dark upper band carries the issuer title in Gothic script, with 'Ausgegeben i. 1920' in the upper-left corner and a decorative zigzag panel with the letter 'M' at upper right. The lower portion contains the redemption clause in Gothic lettering, with a serial number at lower left and two manuscript signatures at lower right above the printer's imprint. |
