| Obverse description | Plain cream paper note enclosed within a serrated rectangular border, with the denomination numeral '50' printed in large bold type at both upper corners. The central text, in letterpress, reads 'FÜNFZIG PFENNIG' across the top, followed by 'zahlt die STADT MANNHEIM' and the issue date clause 'vom 1. Oktober 1920 ab bei Übergabe dieses Scheines'. A red typeset serial number appears in the centre, below which the issuing authority 'DER STADTRAT' is printed, accompanied by a manuscript signature. An embossed circular municipal seal of Mannheim is visible to the lower left, and a three-line redemption notice in small type occupies the lower portion of the note. |
