| Obverse description | Tan paper with a green guilloche underprint running vertically through the centre. The issuer name 'Stadt Torgau/Elbe' is set in bold script lettering across the upper portion, with the word 'Gutschein' centred below it. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' appears within a decorative green cartouche at mid-field, flanked by the numeral '50' in large green letterpress on each side. The lower portion carries a redemption text in German referring to the Stadthauptkasse Torgau, the date 'Torgau, 31.
