| Reverse description | A detailed engraved panoramic vignette occupies the centre of the note, presenting the historic Danzig skyline with the massive tower of St. Mary's Church flanked by the spires of several other Gothic churches and the rooftops of the old town, rendered in a fine linear style against a lightly shaded sky. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' is inscribed in large Gothic lettering below the vignette, with a numeral '50' guilloche medallion at centre. Redemption conditions are printed in two text columns at the foot of the note, within a ruled decorative border. |
