| Descrizione del dritto | Printed in dark ink on light paper, the note carries the denomination in large Fraktur (blackletter) script reading "Fünfzig Pfennig" across the upper portion, with the word "GUTSCHEIN" in bold sans-serif capitals below. A faint heraldic vignette is visible as an underprint in the centre. The issuing authority inscription "DER STADT DÜBEN" and the magistrate designation "Der Magistrat" appear in the middle field, accompanied by a manuscript signature, with the place and date "DÜBEN 1. Nov. 1919" at the foot. Numeral "50" counters are set within ornamental rosette cartouches at lower left and right, and the whole is enclosed within a fine lace-pattern guilloche border. |

A five-digit serial number is printed in bold numerals below the central panel, and the printer's imprint "GEBR. PARCUS. MÜNCHEN." appears at the very foot. The decorative border consists of an interlocking geometric guilloche frame. |

Düben — a small town on the Mulde river in Saxony — was among the thousands of German municipalities forced to print their own fractional currency after the postwar coin shortage stripped everyday commerce of workable small change. The Gebrüder Parcus firm in Munich handled an enormous volume of this Notgeld work in 1919, supplying dozens of towns with competent but efficiently produced notes that betray the house style on close inspection.
The Parcus catalog reference suffix "c" indicates a variant within the D33 series — likely a color or paper distinction from earlier printings for the same issuing authority.
