| 备注 |
Camburg an der Saale is a small Thuringian town on the Saale River, and its Kämmereikasse — the municipal treasury office — was among hundreds of minor German authorities that issued notgeld during the inflationary chaos following the First World War. These 50 Pfennig notes belong to the first wave of municipal emergency money, before the hyperinflation of 1921–1923 made small-denomination notgeld effectively worthless before it could circulate.
The print date of 30 April 1945 in the catalog data is almost certainly a modern acquisition or accession date — Camburg was occupied by U.S. forces in early April 1945 and subsequently transferred to Soviet administration.
