| Obverse description | Green-tinted note with a decorative border of interlocking geometric and diamond motifs in red and black. The municipal arms of Linz am Rhein — a shield charged with a black cross and a key on a red field — are centred as the primary vignette, flanked left and right by the denomination figures '50' in red with the written value '(FÜNFZIG) PFENNIG' beneath each. To the lower left, a circular red official town seal is impressed, and a black serial number panel runs along the lower centre.
