正面描述	The upper portion of the note is dominated by the heraldic coat of arms of the city of Alfeld, supported by two rampant lions, printed over a yellow-green underprint ground enclosed by a blue decorative border. The denomination numeral '50' appears in bold at both upper corners. Below the arms, a multi-line text in German italic script sets out the redemption terms, followed by the issue date and place 'Alfeld/Leine 1.6.1919', with two facsimile signatures beneath the printed authority line 'DER MAGISTRAT / DIE BÜRGERVORSTEHER'.
