| Obverse description | The obverse is printed on a warm ochre-yellow ground with a red guilloche underprint at centre. The issuer's name 'STADT·BADEN=BADEN' arcs across the top in bold Gothic letterpress, flanked at each corner by the numeral '50'. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' is rendered in a large, ornate Fraktur script across the centre, below the voucher inscription 'GUTSCHEIN ÜBER'. A two-line expiry notice in italic script at the foot gives the place and date of issue, Baden-Baden, 19 September 1919, followed by the manuscript signature of the Stadtrat. |
