| Obverse description | Pale buff paper with a horizontal wavy guilloche band in red across the centre field. The denomination '50 Pfennig' is set in large bold blackletter type below the header inscription 'Gutschein über', with a series number at upper left and a handwritten serial number at upper right. The body of the note carries a five-line text block in Gothic script giving the conditions of validity, dated 'Trier, den 1. Juli 1918', followed by the manuscript signature of the Oberbürgermeister beneath the printed designation 'Der Oberbürgermeister'. |
