| Reverse description | The reverse is set on a warm brown floral-patterned underprint, with a large central vignette framed by a Gothic stone arch through which a view of Passau's townscape — dominated by a church tower with onion domes and riverside buildings — is rendered in fine black letterpress line work. Circular medallions enclosing the red numeral '50' on a white guilloche ground are placed symmetrically to the left and right of the central vignette. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' is repeated in black Gothic script within rectangular cartouches at each corner. |
