To the right of the horse, a group of figures in period costume — including children — observe the scene, evoking a medieval festival or procession. The denomination "Fünfzig Pfennig" is set in large blackletter script across the upper centre, flanked at all four corners by red-framed panels each bearing the numeral "50" above "Pfennig" in bold type. The central field carries a multi-line redemption text in Gothic script, and the Erfurt civic arms — a wheeled emblem within an ornate cartouche — are placed at the lower centre.
