| Obverse description | Typeset Notgeld voucher printed in dark brown on plain cream paper, framed by a simple rectangular border with the denomination numeral '50' at each corner and the repeated legend 'PFENNIG' along all four margins. The central text field carries the issuing authority 'Vorderstadt Güstrow' in bold blackletter script above a validity clause restricting use to local circulation until 30 June 1919, followed by the large blackletter legends 'Gutschein' and 'Fünfzig Pfennig'. The issue place and date 'Güstrow, am 4. Dezember 1918' appear at lower left, with the authority designation 'Bürgermeister und Rat' and a manuscript signature at lower right. |
