| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse is laid out in three vertical panels on cream-yellow paper within a fine decorative border: the left panel carries the Bavarian lozenge shield with golden lion supporters beneath the inscription NOTGELD, while the right panel presents a vignette of the Black Madonna of Altötting set within a baroque radiate glory cartouche above the town name ALTÖTTING. The large central vignette renders a letterpress view of the Chapel of Grace (Gnadenkapelle) and its surrounding colonnaded octagon in fine line work, with the denomination 50 PFENNIG in bold letterpress at the lower left and the serial number with validity disclaimer text at the lower right. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse is printed in black and ochre-yellow on cream paper within an elaborate decorative border incorporating putti figures at the upper corners and cornucopia motifs at the lower corners. A central octagonal frame with a pearl-bead border encloses a finely engraved vignette of the Altötting town hall with its distinctive Baroque onion-domed tower, flanked by text panels bearing the issuing authority inscription and denomination. The printer's imprint appears below the lower border. |
