| Obverse description | Printed on salmon-pink paper with a decorative letterpress border carrying the repeated legend FUNFZIG PFENNIG around the perimeter. The central text in bold Gothic Fraktur script reads Stadt Magdeburg at the top, followed by Gut für and the large denomination inscription Fünfzig Pfennig, with the numeral 50 repeated in each upper corner and again in large format at centre.
