| Obverse description | Printed in apple green on white paper with black text, the note carries a central vignette of the Melle town hall rendered in fine letterpress. The issuing authority title "Stadt Melle" appears in large Gothic script across the upper portion, flanked by two circular guilloche rosettes at left and right each bearing the numeral "50" and the denomination "Pfennig" in black. The issue date "Melle, 18.
