Obverse description Central vignette presents a coloured street-scene view of an Augsburg thoroughfare with the Perlachturm tower rising prominently in the background, flanked by period townhouses rendered in a lithographic style. The four corners each carry octagonal cartouches with the denomination numeral '50 Pfg.' in red on a green ground, and stylised Art Nouveau column borders with foliate ornament run along both vertical edges. Below the vignette, a text panel in Gothic script gives the validity clause dated 1 January 1918, signed by the Stadtmagistrat and countersigned by the Oberbürgermeister, with the printer's imprint 'Etikettenfabrik Augsburg' at lower left.

Reverse description The central vignette, signed 'J. Weidenbacher' at lower left, renders a dramatic allegorical scene in a coloured lithographic style: a heroic male figure wields a lance against a grotesque dragon-like creature while a kneeling female figure watches from the right, set against a dark wooded background. At the top, a crowned city arms cartouche is framed by elaborate Art Nouveau scrollwork in green, with small rosette ornaments at the corners of the inner border. A two-line patriotic verse in Gothic script appears below the vignette, and the denomination numeral '50' in red is set within a foliate cartouche at the foot of the note.
Reverse lettering Steht unsre Mark im Kurs auch schlecht,
Das Mark im deutschen Arm ist echt.
