Obverse description The obverse is set within a double wavy-rule border with ornamental corner pieces, printed on a fine guilloche underprint. The heading 'Kriegs-Notgeld' appears in bold Gothic blackletter at the top centre, flanked by two boxed numeral '50' denomination counters. The central text, in Fraktur script, states the issuing authority and redemption conditions, dated 'Eberbach (Baden), den 1 September 1918', with two facsimile signatures below the designation 'Gemeinderat'. The printer's imprint 'DRUCK SELMAR BAYER BERLIN S.O. 36' appears along the lower margin.

Reverse description The reverse is entirely occupied by a detailed engraved panoramic vignette of the historic townscape of Eberbach, captioned 'ALT-EBERBACH' in roman capitals along the upper edge. The view, rendered in fine line engraving, shows the medieval walled town along the Neckar riverbank, with church steeples, tightly packed gabled rooftops, and a fortified gate tower; the river Neckar is labelled at the right margin. The composition is enclosed within a repeating ornamental square-motif border.
