The main text block, set in Fraktur script, states the redemption conditions and bears the issue date and place of Büdingen, 1 November 1918, followed by the authorising legend 'Für den Kreisausschuss:' and a manuscript signature.

District committees like the Kreisausschuss had no traditional authority to issue currency — they acted out of local necessity, filling a gap the Reichsbank simply could not address at the retail level. Büdingen itself is a small Hessian town, and the district's issue was modest in scale. These hyper-local notgeld pieces were rarely retained outside their issuing area, which cuts both ways on survival rates.
