| Obverse description | Blue-grey letterpress notgeld on plain paper, with the denomination numeral '50' set within circular guilloche devices at each upper corner. The issuer inscription 'Stadt Neuß' appears in Gothic Fraktur script across the upper register, above the large denomination legend 'Fünfzig Pfennig' in bold blackletter.
