| Reverse description | Printed entirely in blue on a fine guilloche latticework ground, the reverse is dominated by a large central oval vignette enclosed within an ornate scalloped and foliate frame with rosette corner ornaments. The vignette presents a finely engraved landscape view of the Teichhaus (pond house) at Bad Nauheim, with a multi-storey spa building set among trees reflected in a still foreground pond; a swan is visible in the lower centre of the composition. The caption 'TEICHHAUS' is lettered below the scenic vignette within the frame. |
