| Obverse description | Brown-toned notgeld voucher printed on plain paper, with a fine wavy-line guilloche underprint at centre carrying a vignette of the Recklinghausen city hall (Rathaus). Large numeral '50' appears at both left and right in bold blackletter type, with the denomination legend 'Gutschein über Pfennig' set across the upper centre. A serial number block is printed in the middle register, below which the redemption conditions are set in three lines of German text; the issue date 'Recklinghausen, den 20.
