| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in green, blue, and terracotta tones on a stippled background. Three oval cartouches with acanthus-leaf surrounds are arranged horizontally at centre: the left cartouche carries the validity inscription, the central cartouche bears a rampant lion vignette above the large numeral '50' and denomination 'Pfennige', and the right cartouche holds the issuing authority text with manuscript signatures. The Gothic-script legend 'Notgeld der Stadt Glatz' arches across the upper portion of the note, with the printer's imprint 'L. Schirmer Glatz' in small letterpress along the lower margin. |
