Obverse description Blue ink on white or blue paper, with a reclining female allegorical figure as a vignette at left. The face bears two official hand-stamps: Type I (DIRECCION DEL TESORO - SANTIAGO) and Type 2 (DIRECCION DE CONTABILIDAD - SANTIAGO), applied as validation markings. The overall layout includes typeset text presenting the note's legal authority and issue date, printed by Imprenta Fiscal.

Reverse description Printed entirely in blue on white paper, the reverse is dominated by a large five-pointed star vignette at center, executed in fine lathe-work guilloche. Two oval medallions, each enclosing the numeral "50" in bold white relief against an intricate geometric underprint, flank the central star at left and right. The country title "REPÚBLICA DE CHILE" appears in a decorative cartouche at top, with the denomination "CINCUENTA PESOS" set in an ornamental panel at the base, all framed by a continuous guilloche border.
