Opmerkingen

The "revised color" designation on P#176A distinguishes it from the earlier P#176, issued from 2000 onward — the color adjustment was part of a broader effort by the BCRD to improve machine-readability and reduce counterfeiting vulnerability across the paper series, which was already facing pressure from the Dominican Republic's growing transition toward polymer substrates for lower denominations.

De La Rue's London operation produced the full Dominican paper series through this period. The 2008 date places this note just after the country's post-2003 banking crisis stabilization, when the peso had lost roughly two-thirds of its value before partial recovery.
