Obverse description A stylized profile effigy of a Moai, the iconic monolithic stone statue of Easter Island, depicted in left-facing orientation and occupying the majority of the coin's field. The figure is rendered in high relief, capturing the characteristic elongated head, prominent brow ridge, and angular facial features of the Rapa Nui sculptural tradition. The legend 'RAPA NUI' arcs along the left periphery and 'ISLA DE PASCUA' along the right periphery, both in upright Latin characters following the coin's rim.

Additional information

Easter Island has no independent monetary authority — these "Chilean States" issues are fantasy pieces produced for the collector market, with no legal tender status under Chilean law and no circulation history whatsoever. The X# prefix in the Krause catalog designates exactly that: exonumia outside recognized sovereign issues. Bought in bulk by novelty dealers and repackaged as exotic world coins, they trade almost entirely on the appeal of the Easter Island name rather than any numismatic merit.
