Cuba's "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World" silver series, issued through the 1990s, was produced almost entirely for the export collector market — hard currency the Castro government badly needed during the Special Period, the economic crisis that followed the Soviet collapse in 1991. Domestic Cubans were legally prohibited from holding foreign-convertible currency until 1993, and coins like this never circulated on the island in any meaningful sense.
The JMA reference prefix points to José Martí Numismatic House, Havana's state export agency for collectibles. KM assignment was never completed for much of this series.
