| Obverse description | The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring the traditional escutcheon with a key between two promontories, a rising sun in the upper segment, and a royal palm in the lower segment, flanked by a fasces and a Phrygian cap on a lance to the left and an oak branch to the right. A curving legend above reads REPUBLICA DE CUBA, while the denomination 50 PESOS appears below the shield. The design follows the standard national arms type established for Cuban coinage. |
