The shield is surmounted by a Phrygian cap bearing a star, and is flanked by two oak branches on the left and two laurel branches on the right, tied at the base. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs across the upper field, while the denomination 50 PESOS is inscribed along the lower border; the fineness designation 1/2 OZ and AU 0.999 appear in the left and right fields respectively. |
