Pick 189 is unusual in having two confirmed printers across its production run — De La Rue in London and the Polish Security Printing Works (PWPW) in Warsaw. Both are long-established security printers, but the switch suggests either a capacity decision or a tendering change during the note's multi-year production window. The two printings are not always visually distinguishable without reference to printer imprints.
Dominican 50-peso notes of this period circulate heavily and wear fast. High-grade survivors from early in the run are already harder to find than the date range implies.
