| Obverse description | Light blue guilloche underprint covers the entire face, with a circular vignette of the Cuban national coat of arms at left and a large letter 'C' within a fine-line rosette at right — the narrow form of this letter being the key variety distinction. The denomination numeral '50' appears in violet at centre, overlaid by the inscription 'CINCUENTA PESOS', while horizontal blue bands at top and bottom carry 'CERTIFICADO DE COMPRA' and 'BANCO NACIONAL DE CUBA' respectively. |
