Pick 362 belongs to the "Próceres y Monumentos" series that the BCRA maintained through the mid-2010s, a period when Argentina's official inflation figures were widely disputed — the government's INDEC statistics were considered so unreliable that private economists published their own parallel indices. A 50-peso note had meaningful purchasing power when this series launched years earlier; by 2015 it was rapidly losing ground to an inflation rate most independent estimates placed above 25 percent annually.
Casa de Moneda in Buenos Aires printed the entire series domestically, which was a point of institutional pride but occasionally a source of supply bottlenecks during periods of high demand for physical currency.
